Braptafel Muffins with Marzipan
German baked apple muffins
Ingredients
- 50g raisins
- 2 small apples
- 50g marzipan
- 2 eggs
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pack vanilla
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 1/3 cup flour
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 75ml oil
- 3/4 cup (150g) sour cream
Instructions
- Cut apples into quarters and remove seeds. Cut into smaller pieces and sprinkle with lemon juice.
- Chop the marzipan.
- Mix the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- Add hte sugar, cinnamon, salt, eggs, oil, sour cream and marzipan.
- Knead until smooth and fold in apple pieces.
- Fill muffin tins to 3/4 full.
- Bake at 390F for 25-30 mins or until golden brown.
