Brioche bread dough

The bread you slap!

Ingredients

  • 2 tea spoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup lukewarm water
  • 1 package active yeast ( 2.25 teaspoon)

 

  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/3 cup butter/margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2tbsp sugar ( omit I if making sweet bread)
  • 1 tsp salt (if making salty bread)

 

Method

  1. Dissolve sugar in warm water. Add yeast and let it rest
  2. Warm milk and add butter to melt. Add to yeast
  3. Stir in eggs with half the flour. Beat until smooth
  4. Add the remaining flour and mix well
  5. Grab the dough and throw on a hard surface. Keep slapping Until dough is no longer sticking to hands (10-15 mins)
  6. Place in a greased bowl and cover. Allow to rest approx 2 hours
  7. Knead again and use as desired
  8. Bake at 375F (190C) for 15-20 mins
