Brioche bread dough
The bread you slap!
Ingredients
- 2 tea spoon sugar
- 1/2 cup lukewarm water
- 1 package active yeast ( 2.25 teaspoon)
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/3 cup butter/margarine
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 2tbsp sugar ( omit I if making sweet bread)
- 1 tsp salt (if making salty bread)
Method
- Dissolve sugar in warm water. Add yeast and let it rest
- Warm milk and add butter to melt. Add to yeast
- Stir in eggs with half the flour. Beat until smooth
- Add the remaining flour and mix well
- Grab the dough and throw on a hard surface. Keep slapping Until dough is no longer sticking to hands (10-15 mins)
- Place in a greased bowl and cover. Allow to rest approx 2 hours
- Knead again and use as desired
- Bake at 375F (190C) for 15-20 mins
