Tea biscuits

Plain or cheese Makes 15-18 biscuits

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups flour
  • 4tsp baking powder
  • 1tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup shortening/butter
  • 1cup milk
  • Cheese or green onions (optional)

Method

  1. combine flour, baking powder and salt
  2. Cut in shortening with two kniveS until consistency of coarse cornmeal
  3. Make a well in he center and add all liquid and stir
  4. Knead lightly
  5. Roll out and cut
  6. Place on baking paper 
  7. Bake at 450F for 12-15 mins or until lightly browned
