Green Onion Pancake
Makes 6 small pancakes
Ingredients
- 2 cups Flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1/4 cup cold water
Filling
- 1/4 cup Flour
- 1/4 cup oil (vegetable, olive or other) or melted butter
- Dash of sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Chopped green onions
Method
- Add flour and salt to a bowl
- Drizzle in hot water while mixing
- Add cold water and form into a ball and knead
- Cover and let rest for 20 minutes
- While dough resting combine flour, oil and salt in a bowl
- Chop green onions
- Knead dough then split into 6 balls
- Flatten into circles
- Spread on oil/flour mixture (leave one edge dry to close) and sprinkle on green onions
- Roll dough up into a tight log
- Roll log up into a tight circle and press down slightly
- Roll them back into flat circles
- Cook in oiled pan on medium/high heat until lightly browned on both sides
