Makes approximately 3 dozen

Floats

 

Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1tsp yeast
  • 2tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 salt
  • 4tsp baking powder
  • 2tbsp lard/shortening
  • 1 1/2 water

 

Method

  1. Make yeast happy with sugar
  2. Add other ingredients.
  3. Knead into a soft dough
  4. Let sit for minimum 1/2 hour
  5. Seperate into balls
  6. Flatten into circles and let rest
  7. Deep fry until golden brown and floating
