Cheddar, Corn and Onion loaf
Ingredients
Makes 2 loaves
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 6 tsp of baking powder
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper flakes
- 1/4 garlic powder
- 1/4 black powder
- 1 tsp dry mustard powder
- 1 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 4 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup grated cheddar
- 1 cup corn kernels
- 1/2 red pepper, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Paprika to sprinkle on top
- Optional: Diced ham or bacon
Instructions
- Mix all dry ingredients.
- Cut in butter.
- Add egg, milk and mustard.
- Add remaining ingredients and stir.
- Put into well greased loaf pans and sprinkle paprika on top.
- Bake at 350F for 45-60 minutes until golden brown and cooked.
