Stew Pork with Foo Chook and Mushrooms

Foochook and Pork

Ingredients

  • Pork or chicken (pork takes longer to cook than chicken)
  • Foo chook
  • Chinese dry mushrooms
  • Onions
  • Ginger
  • Garlic
  • Black pepper
  • Salt
  • Sugar ( 2tsp - 2 tbsp)
  • Soy sauce 
  • Oyster sauce

 

Instructions

  1. Soak mushroom and foo chook for at least an hour. Cut into small chunks.
  2. Cut and season pork
  3. Brown sugar in oil until dark golden and bubbly.
  4. Add meat and stir quickly to brown.
  5. Add a small amount of water, cover and cook.
  6. Add foo chook and mushrooms and cook until done. 
  7. Remove lid and let meat liquid dry out.
