Portugese Sponge Cake
Ingredients
- 5 large Eggs, room temp
- 3 oz Granulated Sugar
- 2 ½ oz of sifted flour
- 2 tbsp Milk
- 5 tbsp Butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Separate the eggs.
- Mix yolks and sugar with a beater until creamy.
- Beat whites until stiff by not dry and gently fold into yolk mixture.
- Sift in the flour, blend in the milk and the melted butter.
- Line cake pan or muffin tins with wax paper. Fill ¾ full with batter.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until done.
- Remove from oven and invert to cool.
