Chocolate Torte
Ingredients
- 1 Package Devil's Food cake with pudding
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 can (16oz) pears in syrup, drained
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup macadamia nuts (optional)
- 2 tsp water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F. Spray 9-10" spring form pan.
- Cook filling ingredients in sauce pan and cook, stirring until smooth.
- Combine cake mix, oil and cinnamon. Blend on low speed until crumbly. (mixture is dry)
- Blend pears until smooth.
- Combine 2 1/2 cups of cake mix with pureed pears and eggs. Beat at low speed until moistened.
- Beat 2 minutes at medium.
- Spread batter evenly in pan. Drop filling by spoonfuls on batter.
- Stir nuts and water into remaining cake mix and sprinkle over filling.
- Bake 45-50mins or until top of center of cake springs back up.
- Cook in pan 10 min. Heat sauce ingredients.
