Terriyaki Chicken

Terriyaki Chicken

Ingredients

  • Chicken
  • Dried chinese mushrooms
  • Red pepper (optional)
  • Ginger
  • Chives
  • Garlic
  • Soy sauce
  • Terriyaki sauce (or home made: soy sauce, sugar and corn starch)
  • Corn starch

 

Instructions

  1. Wash and pre-soak dried chinese mushrooms for at least an hour or until soft (soak in hot water or microwave to speed up softening)
  2. Wash and clean chicken.
  3. Cut up seasonings and slice mushrooms.
  4. Season chicken with strips of ginger, chives, garlic and soy sauce.
  5. Dust chicken in corn starch and pan fry until browned. Remove.
  6. Fry mushrooms and peppers.
  7. Turn down heat and add terriyaki sauce and chives. Cook until done.
  8. Slice chicken and top with terriyaki sauce, mushrooms and peppers.
