Terriyaki Chicken
Ingredients
- Chicken
- Dried chinese mushrooms
- Red pepper (optional)
- Ginger
- Chives
- Garlic
- Soy sauce
- Terriyaki sauce (or home made: soy sauce, sugar and corn starch)
- Corn starch
Instructions
- Wash and pre-soak dried chinese mushrooms for at least an hour or until soft (soak in hot water or microwave to speed up softening)
- Wash and clean chicken.
- Cut up seasonings and slice mushrooms.
- Season chicken with strips of ginger, chives, garlic and soy sauce.
- Dust chicken in corn starch and pan fry until browned. Remove.
- Fry mushrooms and peppers.
- Turn down heat and add terriyaki sauce and chives. Cook until done.
- Slice chicken and top with terriyaki sauce, mushrooms and peppers.
