Chinese Style Stewed Gizzards
Ingredients
- Chicken gizzards
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Black pepper
- Five spice
- Soy sauce
- Touch of dark soy for colour
- Cooking wine
- Hot Pepper (if desired)
Method
- Clean gizards, cut into pieces if big and splice meat side so they pick up more gravy when cooked
- Put touch of oil in pot. Add everything to pot. Add enough water to cover. Cober pot and cook down until meat is tender (approx 45mins) May need more water if meat still tough
- Dry down water and taste for salt
- Serve with chook or rice
