Seow Kai
Ingredients
- Chicken
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Salt (a pinch)
- White pepper
- Sugar (almost as much as soy sauce)
- Dark soy sauce
- Light soy sauce
- Star anise
- Water
Instructions
- Cut and clean chicken.
- Season with garlic, ginger, salt and white pepper.
- Lightly brown chicken in pot.
- Add soy sauce, sugar and star anise.
- Add a small amount of water.
- Cover and cook until done.
