Auntie Jackie's Fry Bakes
Use for stuffed bakes
Ingredients
- 8 cups Flour
- 3 cups Water
- 2 tsps Baking Powder
- 2 tsps Yeast
- 2 tsps Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 3 ozs shortening or or margarine
Method
- Dissolve sugar in 1/2 cup warm water then add yeast
- Let yeast get happy :)
- Add all other ingredients
- Knead into a soft dough
- Let rest for approx 1.5 hours
- Roll into balls
- Let balls rest another hour
- Flatten and fry (floats) or fill (bakes)
