Beef Filling
For Bakes, Beef tarts, Shepherd's pie
Ingredients
- 2 lbs Ground Beef
- Onions
- Celery
- Parsley
- Thyme
- Garlic
- Red Pepper
- Hot Pepper
- Green Seasoning
- Dash of Worcestershire sauce
- Dash of Ketchup
- 2 tbsp Gravy Mix (corn starch if unavailable)
- Peas and Carrots (for Beef Tarts and Shepherd's Pie)
Method
- Cook ground on medium beef fully until meat is frying
- Pour a kettle of boiling water in pot, then strain (or just skim off all fat)
- Fry up seasonings
- Add meat back and adjust salt and pepper
- Cook down then add Worcestershire, gravy mix and ketchup
