Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 can red beans or left over cooked beans
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can diced tomatoes or 2 fresh diced tomatoes
  • Chili powder
  • Cumin
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Onions
  • Green pepper
  • Onions
  • Garlic
  • Cilantro

 

Instructions

  1. Fry the ground beef and remove grease.
  2. Add the seasonings, beans and tomatoes.
  3. Let simmer for 2 hours or until the beef and beans are tender or put in a slow cooker.
  4. Serve with rice, bread, cornbread, cornmeal muffins or corn chips.

 

Variations:

  • Can use ground turkey or pork.
