Meat Sauce

Spaghetti and meat sauce

Ingredients

  • 3lbs ground beef
  • 3 hot italian sausages, sliced and browned
  • 1 large red pepper
  • 1 large green pepper
  • 3 celery leaves diced
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 1 zucchini diced
  • 1/2 carrot diced
  • garlic
  • 2 tbsp dried spicy italian season (or fresh basil, oregano and parsley)
  • 796ml can crushed tomato
  • 796ml can diced tomato
  • small can tomato paste
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • chili flakes
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 cloves
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1lb mushrooms

 

Instructions

  1. Fry ground beef and drain grease. Fry sausage.
  2. Fry seasonings and vegetables.
  3. Add tomato sauces, salt, pepper and dry herbs.
  4. Let simmer for 2-3 hours.
  5. Slice and cook mushrooms. Add to sauce.
  6. Serve with spaghetti and grated parmesan cheese or use to make lasagna.
