Potstickers (dumplings)

Ingredients

  • 1lb pork
  • 1lb potsticker wrappers
  • water chestnuts
  • dried chinese mushrooms
  • carrots
  • green onions
  • soy sauce
  • sesame oil
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • sugar
  • cornstarch (in some water)

 

Instructions

  1. Add seasonings to meat.
  2. Beat with some water until smooth, then add waterchestnuts, mushrooms, carrots and green onions.
  3. Fill wrappers using water to seal edges.
  4. Fry potstickers or freeze after wrapping.
  5. To Fry:
  6. With oil in pan, throw in dumplings to sizzle. Add water, cover and turn down heat. Dry off and brown to desired brownness
  7. Any extra meat can be used to make pork burgers or stuffed mushrooms.
