Nikki's Layered Salad
Excellent looking and tasting!
Ingredients
- 1 head lettuce
- 8-10 green onions
- 1 small can water chestnuts
- 1/2 red or green pepper
- 3 stalks celery
- 1 small package frozen peas
- 2 cups mayonnaise (Kraft, white)
- 2 tsp sugar
- 3/4 lb cooked crushed bacon
- 3 hard boiled eggs sliced
- 3 tomatoes (or 8 cherry tomatoes)
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- Black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- In a clear glass salad bowl layer ingredients in order.
- Cover tighly and chill overnight or at least 4 hours before serving.
Modification:
- Mix mayo with sour cream to make 3 cups
- After celery add a second lettuce layer then add 1/2 mayo mixture
- Add a layer of cucumbers and radishes
