Nikki's Layered Salad

Excellent looking and tasting!

Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 8-10 green onions
  • 1 small can water chestnuts
  • 1/2 red or green pepper
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1 small package frozen peas
  • 2 cups mayonnaise (Kraft, white)
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 3/4 lb cooked crushed bacon
  • 3 hard boiled eggs sliced
  • 3 tomatoes (or 8 cherry tomatoes)
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

 

Instructions

  1. In a clear glass salad bowl layer ingredients in order.
  2. Cover tighly and chill overnight or at least 4 hours before serving.

 

Modification:

  • Mix mayo with sour cream to make 3 cups
  • After celery add a second lettuce layer then add 1/2 mayo mixture
  • Add a layer of cucumbers and radishes
