Uncle Chin POW
3 cups flour
1/2 cup corn star h
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar 2 tablespoons shortening
1 cup water
1 cup milk
1.5 teaspoons yeast
dissolve one teaspoon of the sugar in warm water, add yeast and left foam up. Mix all dry ingredients. Add shortening and milk and then all dry ingradients. Knead well into a nice smooth dough. Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk. Knead lightly and roll out to make balls for bao or a sheet to cut rounds for sliders. Fill, allow bao to rest a few minutes and steam 20 minutes over boiling water. For sliders roll about 1/2 inch thick and cut into rounds. fold in half but do not press down. and place in steamer. Steam 15 minutes. Open and fill with meat and marinated veggies. Fro appetizer size sliders roll dough a little thinner before cutting rounds.
